Ok, guys I’ve been in a slight blogging funk. I’ve finally got my grades back and now can officially start my summer. I’ve decide instead of getting a second job as I usually do I wanted to dip my toe in my field. So I started a bit late but scored myself an internship in the exact position I want when I graduate. Which I’m excited for! But the downside to my internship is putting all blogging energy into being a social media manager. Also on top of putting more hours into my part-time job. Shoutout to all those bloggers with full-time jobs, kids and a side hustle. I’m definitely finding it a bit draining. But I’m not giving up.

Let’s get into this #OOTD. I styled this look for those warm not so warm days in Toronto which happens frequently in the season we call spring. I’ve been wearing this cream fuzzy jacket more often. I love finding old items in my collection and paring them in new different ways. I paired the jacket with an oversize white shirt and my blush granny heels. Speaking of old items I also pulled out this PVC mini backpack that I got almost three years ago when I worked at American Apparel. This is a major throwback for me. I use to dress so differently the last time I actually wore this piece. Imagine me in see through mesh tops, bodysuits, high waisted shorts and jelly heel sandals. LOL! Mind you I was 18 graduating from an Art high school. I was still trying to define myself through my clothes. I feel like my style is always growing and evolving as it should. But it still cracks me up to find things I use to wear.

Keep Styling

  1. Congratulations on your new internship, girlie! It sounds like such a fun position and one that you’ll be great at and enjoy! As for your outfit, I love the jacket, it looks so cozy and I love the cream color. I also love your backpack. I feel the same way when I rediscover pieces in my closet from forever ago and it brings back memories to when I bought it and how my style has changed, TREMENDOUSLY! With that, I love the way you’ve styled the bag here, it’s still a trendy piece now and looks great paired with this outfit, killer streestyle vibes! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a great start to your week!

    1. Thank you Jalisa! It’s crazy to see how much your personal style has grown it’s always a big #tb for me! Have a good week!

  2. Congrats on your internship 🙂 keep us updated on the blog when you can and can we talk about those shoes?! I neeeed them x

    1. Thank you! I’ll defiantly try blogging is so cathartic to me. Yeah I love my “Granny Heels” they are super comfortable!

  3. Ok so I had a crush on that PVC bag on Insta and had to come over to the blog for some more. You look bangin’ as usual, and I love how you spiced up the blush tones with some statement pieces. Also I could sooo relate to that bit about style evolution – I’ve had some pretty questionable sartorial phases and I always have a good laugh looking back.
    Much love!

  4. I can visualize what you described, and I definitely prefer your style now! It’s so amazing how we can see how far we’ve come and progressed purely from our wardrobe evolving. Also congrats on your internship! That’s so amazing 🙂 Good luck!

  5. That fuzzy jacket is amazing, love it! It definitely does get tired blogging and having a FT job but I think it’s worth it. If I wasn’t blogging I’d probably just be watching TV in my spare time so at least I’m doing something creative and productive, right? xx

    1. Thank you! I completely agree with you. I actually felt like I wasn’t achieving enough so I started my blog! I’m definitely not giving up! 💪🏾

  6. Kyanna,

This backpack though I love it! These colors also go so well together. This was definitely such a nice outfit for those random chilly days.
